JAPANESE COMPANY BRINGS IN NINE “OFFICE CATS” TO IMPROVE PRODUCTIVITY
Employees at the Internet company Ferray Corporation in Tokyo enjoy a special perk at the office ever since the company adopted nine cats, which are free to move around the offices, keeping the employees company and boosting morale.
Adopting the rescue cats was especially nice for the workers since many apartments in the city don’t allow any pets.
Bosses at Ferray say there has been a noticeable increase in inter-office communication, with employees talking more because they have more in common – namely the cats.
The employees also report feeling less stressed thanks to the calming presence of the cats, who are always around for a cuddle. (People)
