Still recovering from the P.R. nightmare of having video go viral of a passenger being dragged from one of their planes, United Airlines has changed its policy and will no longer give staff last-minute seats on full flights.
Now, crew members will have to get a seat at least an hour before departure. The change comes after passenger Dr. David Dao was forcibly dragged from a plane last Sunday by three airport cops. He had two teeth knocked out and broke his nose in the process.
A United spokeswoman said that the change was done to make sure that an incident like the Dao episode never occurs again. (BBC)
