Ingrid Andress still can’t believe Kelly Clarkson covered one of her latest ballads during a recent episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show. The “More Hearts Than Mine” artist shared her reaction to Clarkson’s rendition on her social media channels, gushing in her caption:
“AHHHH she sounds so freaking good on blue!!! i grew up listening to Kelly and wanting to be like her so im losing itttt about her singing my song omg 🥹”
Andress released “Blue,” a sentiment to the joys of falling in love, on Good Person, her album that released within the past year. The Good Person deluxe edition with three new tracks arrived earlier this month, just as Andress’ tour got underway. “Treated Me Good,” “Wish You Would” and “Runnin” with JP Saxe join previously-released fan-favorites on the collection, including “Seeing Someone Else,” “Pain,” “Feel Like This,” “Blue” and more.
Clarkson delivered a stunning rendition of Andress’ heartfelt ballad during the “Kellyoke” segment of her uplifting daytime talk show: “It’s like I’ve never seen the ocean/ Or a Bud Light neon sign/ Like I’ve never seen a California swimming pool/ A faded pair of Levi 505s/ Thought I’d know just what to call the color of the Colorado sky/ But looking in your eyes it’s like seeing blue for the first time.”
