Officials are looking into a claim that the bright ball of light seen in the sky Friday night in Nevada County, California might have been what caused a fire at Dustin Procita's home over the weekend!
Witnesses that were following the bright ball of light through the sky followed it to Dustin's house where the house was in flames shortly after.
"I heard a big bang... I started to smell smoke. I went onto my porch and it was completely engulfed in flames," said Procita in an interview with ABC 7 News. While no one was injured in the supposed meteorite crash, his home was destroyed by the fire. See the original story here.
