Well, a new tackle football league has started that features players without pads or helmets.
Amazingly, this way of playing might actually be safer than playing in full pads.
The founder of the A7FL Sean Korkusuz believes playing without pads and helmets is the future of football.
The game is seven-on-seven, which makes it easier to play, with no equipment cost.
And because there aren’t helmets, the players are far more careful with just how they collide with other players – and the ground – during each play. (Complex)
