Walmart Announces New Store Design And Digital Shopping Experience

Today, Walmart unveiled a new look and feel for their stores with updated and colorful signage as well as what they're calling an "Omni-Shopping Spark & Optimized Entrance" that encourages shoppers to download the Walmart app for a digitally enhanced customer experience to help ease the customer experience. In fact, the app will be able to help people find item inventory and give directions to where that item is located inside the store. According to Janey Whiteside, EVP for Walmart US, the new stores and app should provide "an end-to-end digital navigation that guides customers throughout their journey."

According to their blog, the retail giant is also looking to help customers by offering contactless checkout as well as contactless payment in these new stores. These updates include self-checkout kiosks and select locations will also have Scan & Go to help their customers manage direct checkout.

The video below shows some of the improved features and new store design.
