Mollie Tibbetts' Body Found Authorities Believe

The body of missing Iowa college student Mollie Tibbetts was found Tuesday, authorities believe, but no specific details about the location were released.

A news conference on the case was announced for 5 p.m. local time. No arrests or suspects have been announced in connection with the discovery of the college student's body.

Greg Willey, the vice president of Crime Stoppers of Central Iowa, told USA Today that the discovery provided a "tough" ending to the search for Tibbets.

The news brings an end to an intensive search for the 20-year-old University of Iowa student who was reported missing in mid-July after she failed to respond to messages from her boyfriend and did not show up for work. She was watching dogs at the home of her boyfriend's brother when authorities say she went for a jog around her hometown of Brooklyn, Iowa around 7:30 p.m., July 18.

A nearly $400,000 reward fund for Tibbetts' discovery will become a reward for information leading to the capture of any suspects in the college student's disappearance.
